The 1885 Courthouse has many of its original rooms as exhibits. 

Circuit Courtroom

Trials were held in this courtroom from 1885 until 1976.  The courtroom has been partially restored to its 1895 appearance.  A photograph of the elegant courtroom appeared on page 43 in the Jan/Feb 2002 Michigan History Magazine.

Judge's Chambers

This room contains the most decorative of the nine fireplaces in the building.  The large light fixture in the center of the room is one of the few remaining original electrical fixtures in the building.
